She has painted for over 25 years, having taken course work through Berkeley Extension, Art Center in Pasadena, and Michigan State University. Since building a studio in her back garden, Karen has embarked on several series of luminous oil paintings. Her recent work has centered on liquid landscapes, vibrant Spring flowers and Fall colored trees, "view from the grass" birch trees, and luminous woods.

Robert Allan Oblon
Trained as a sculptor, Robert Oblon has transformed the organic shapes of his bronze sculptures into flattened abstract constructions reminiscent of the move from surrealism to abstract expressionism. The flowing arcs and voluptuous shapes have evolved from the sensual body forms of his bronze work. Robert’s current pieces draw historically from Kienholtz and Rauschenberg, the muscular Mexican muralist techniques of Siqueiros, and the bright Latin colors distinctive to L.A. Chicano art.

Kathy Yu
Originally from Hawaii, Kathy received a BS from Rochester Institute of Technology in Communication Theories and International Marketing.  Soon after college, Kathy went to work in the high tech world of semiconductors.  Today, Kathy continues to work in technology but is able to balance the right and left brain by embracing life with painting and athletics (along with squeezing in volunteer work at the SPCA).
